Family Promise of Bristol is a Host Site For ARCH’s AmeriCorps Program.
ARCH integrates AmeriCorps members into the Housing First program that aims to reduce homelessness by providing a combination of housing and social services in the Appalachia region of east Tennessee.
When you join AmeriCorps through ARCH you will be placed with us, or a host site in the areas we serve, based on your skills and interests. Other considerations are where you live and if you have reliable transportation.
ARCH has host sites in Northeast Tennessee, Chattanooga, Morristown, and Paris, TN.
AmeriCorps members receive student loan deferment, training, a monthly living allowance, an educational award upon completion of your term that you can use to pay off student loans or pursue your educational goals & connection to a national network of AmeriCorps members.

Are there Volunteer, Community Service & Internship Opportunities?
AmeriCorps engages more than 75,000 men and women in intensive service each year at more than 15,000 locations including non-profits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country.
AmeriCorps members are given a living allowance, health care, childcare (if applicable), and become eligible for the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award upon successful completion of the program. Additionally, ARCH offers many on and off-site training opportunities for its members; and members are encouraged to take advantage of the experience, support and resources of the ARCH staff and nonprofit community.
The AmeriCorps Housing First Program utilizes members to provide services to the homeless and economically disadvantaged population in Upper East TN. The purpose of the Housing First Program is to provide access points in every county we serve to provide the homeless with resources they so desperately need. AmeriCorps members work at one of our host sites in the community to utilize the HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) in order to find appropriate resources and assess vulnerability of clients.
We have numerous volunteer and service opportunities, including participation in local AmeriCorps programs. We also offer other volunteer and internship opportunities for students and/or members of the local community in the Tri-Cities. Contact us to learn more!
